L'Union Française is a non-profit organisation based in New Orleans whose mission is the teaching of the French language and the continued promotion of French culture in Louisiana. They have a language school that offers several levels of French, as well as cinema classes, culinary classes, book clubs, and various activities and events, including a Cajun music jam. It's an organization with a long history, having been founded in 1872, and it offers awards and prizes to encourage children who are learning French as well. As with any language school, it's best to check with the organization about the availability of the specific class you're interested in and its format (1-on-1 or group, virtual or in person, is there a set start date or will they need to reach a minimum number of students before scheduling the class, etc.) before signing up.
